Because of COVID-19 pandemic, we are all stuck inside our houses and unable to do what we normally do. We mostly spend our time either doing household chores or scrolling though various social media platforms just to pass the time. During this time of the year, I usually help our church do charity works, but this year is a different case. Is there anything else that we can do, though? Worry not! I’ll help you go through this pandemic.
Firstly, bond more with your family. Yes, you might say that you are already doing that, but there’s a big difference between being with them and actually interacting with them. Communication between you and your family, expressing your feelings and insights in life not only helps you idle away time, but also builds stronger family ties. Trust me, talking about life with your family is so fun and informative, and you get to learn from each other.
Next is to explore your family’s possible common interests and hobbies, like knitting or watching movies, to name a few. This is a great alternative since you are doing something else other than just browsing through your news feed. You can also discuss what you know and what you learned by doing this various activities with your family.
Lastly is to spend your free time meditating on your past choices and what you aspire to be. Some people might say that this is irrelevant, but I have something to say about that. From time to time, we are bound to make wrong decisions in our life. While they are all in the past, you can always ponder on them to help you improve your judgment, thus making you a much better person. You need to fix your focus on what you want your future to be. Aim high, have the right mindset, and hit the mark. This way of thinking will push you further to your limits so that you can surpass your own expectations and achieve great things in due time.
I hope that you were able to gather ideas and inspirations from this blog. I know that this holiday season is a new one for us but let us not forget to spend it dearly with our family at home. Happy holidays and stay safe!
